O.N.S.

O.N.S.

A project by Academie voor Beeldvorming in cooperation with Erasmusfestival Brabant and Lucas de Man.
A lawyer, a refugee, a politician, a pensioner, a student, an abbott, a squatter, an artist, an entrepreneur, a house painter and so on. Twenty-four inhabitants of the city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch were interviewed and had their portraits taken on the twenty-four different hours of the day, to be published in the 48-page O.N.S. Magazine.

O.N.S is short for Onderzoek Naar Samenleven (Survey Into Coexistence).
Key question: ’Does it matter what you do?’

The magazine was printed in an edition of 80.000 and distributed as an independent supplement along with the regional daily newspaper Brabants Dagblad.
